Rembrandt is coming to Raalte!
In collaboration with Raalte Municipality and Martin Dijkman from Luttenberg, the Night Watch, his masterpiece of wooden shoes, will soon be exhibited in the Plaskerk in Raalte.
Making wooden shoes dull? No way! From 18 June to 13 September, this artwork of 30,000 hand-painted mini clogs “De Nachtwacht”, will be on display free of charge on Wednesday mornings in the Plaskerk in Raalte. Curious about the story behind this Night Watch? Then book the ‘Craft meets art’ package. Martin shares his experiences, his travels, his view of the wooden shoe, the history of the craft and much more.
Book a midweek or weekend camping pitch or accommodation at our park and take a look around Raalte.
There are also 3 Saturdays when it is possible for the public to visit for free. Groups of up to 10 people can book a package where Martin himself explains the “making off”.
